Kaiser-Battistone Plumber-Rooter
Plumber-Rooter (a division of Kaiser-Battistone: Norwalk, CT) recently completed this lateral lining project.

The job, located in Fairfield, CT, involved a small cement bridge that went over a creek in a driveway. The pipe in the bridge was dislocated, and to complicate things further, the pipe was built into the bridge. Other contractors would have had to demolish the bridge to replace the pipe, an option that many would choose. The cost to rebuild the bridge would have been prohibitively expensive.

Our Spotlight Project West involves a sewage sump relining at a Washington Mutual Bank in Santa Ana, California. This story comes to us from SGV Underground, a company located in the foothills of California. A 35-40 year old steel sump (sewage ejector) pit liner was rotten, perforated, and contained heavy rust/corrosion throughout. A poured-in place solution would have cost approximately $30,000, not including pump work, etc. The project was completed in a timely and efficient manner.
A telephone call came in to Kevin McAlexander, owner of Advantage Plumbing in Grinnell, Iowa. It seemed that HydroKlean in Des Moines faced a challenge at a local hospital that went beyond the scope of its capabilities. HydroKlean employees knew there was an issue with an 8-inch sewer pipe that ran underneath Skiff Medical Center in Newton, Iowa, but they couldn’t put their finger on it. They got the line open by jetting it, but when they tried to televise the line with a crawler camera, the crawler was too big to negotiate the turns. A push camera also didn’t help.
